The second novel in a USA Today bestselling series from Megg Jensen!

Control the dragons. Rule the realm.

The fog that trapped the people of Hutton's Bridge for eighty years has disappeared, but now so have the villagers.

Fearing the worst, Tressa and Bastian must navigate a new and dangerous world in search of their people. Among their allies are a healer, a warrior, and even a dragon—but their enemies are far greater.

The series continues to improve as their world expands

Hunted is the second book in the Dragonlands series by Megg Jensen and the story really gets going in this book.

The first book was about Hutton's Bridge, a small town separated from the rest of the world by a fog wall, that people enter but never return from.  The wall comes down in the first book and Bastian, Tressa, and Conner adventure out to the city ruled by a cruel warrior queen.

But in this book you learn more about the rest of the world as the trio look for their townsfolk who have suddenly disappeared.  Other characters are expanded on and Bastian and Tressa find themselves with new romantic interests as they go on separate adventures.

I see now that the series planned to start small and expand the world as it continues and with great characters and action that formula works well.  There is plenty of character development as Bastian and Conner gets involved with filling the power void in the nearby city and Tressa travels with Jarett to ask for aid from the queen of his desert city.

I give it five out of five stars and recommend it to fantasy and dragon lovers of most ages.  There are some mild sexual situations so the book may not be appropriate for younger readers.
